THE PARENT PROJECT FACILITATOR TRAINING
About the training: This 40-hour course provides the most comprehensive and effective
instruction on high risk youth available today. Participants learn proven strategies that
change lives and discover how to develop a collaborative implementation plan designed
to meet the specific needs of high risk families in their community. Participants will:
1) develop curriculum content expertise;
2) work confidently and effectively with high risk families;
3) know how to help parents develop a plan to prevent or
intercede in their children's destructive behavior;
4) develop a collaborative community implementation plan, and
5) be certified to facilitate Parent and Teen Parent PROJECT Groups.
Location: Bakersfield - exact location will be disclosed in the confirmation letter
Presenters: Ralph "Bud" Frey, Susan Mejia Johnson, M.S., and Roger H. Morgan, Psy.D.,
Target Audience: School Administrators, Teachers, Counselors, Community Police Officers,
Court and Probation Officers, Mental Health Providers, Community Leaders, Youth Workers,
Parents and Church Leaders
Registration Fee: $750 per person, includes materials, continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon refrehments.
ALL REGISTRATION FEES MUST BE PAID IN ADVANCE BY PURCHASE ORDER OR CHECK
PAYABLE TO KERN COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS OFFICE
This registration fee will NOT be paid by the KCSAPE Partnership/Consortium.
Subtitute teacher expenses will NOT be reimbursed.
